Welcome to Satoyama Café, a hidden gem perched in the serene hills of Yunoyamachi, Nomi, Japan. This delightful café is not just a place to grab a bite; it’s a charming escape that combines a vintage atmosphere with breathtaking views—a perfect spot for both locals and travelers alike.

The menu here is a celebration of flavors, focusing primarily on egg-based dishes that have garnered a loyal following. Diners rave about the various types of omurice (Japanese omelette rice), with standout versions that include a delectable lasagna omurice that seamlessly marries two beloved comfort foods. Imagine a soft, fluffy omelette enveloping a bed of perfectly cooked rice, all finished with a rich sauce that dances on your palate. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, the café’s lemon cake has been described as “supreme,” a must-try for bakery lovers looking for a zesty finish to their meal.

As you sit on the outdoor terrace, enjoy a refreshing drink while soaking in the warmth of a sunny day. The café is slightly uphill, which not only offers scenic views but also provides a cozy, inviting environment that encourages you to linger. Be prepared for a 20-25 minute wait for your food, but trust that every moment is worth it as the flavors unfold on your plate—a sentiment echoed by satisfied customers like Yogita Sharma, who appreciated the patience rewarded with a delicious omurice experience.

All the different types of omelette rice are amazing. The lasagna version was particularly delicious.

Great food with nice view, it is bit uphill and feels good to sit on outdoor table on a warm weather. Their speciality is Omurice and pancakes. We had omurice and it was delicious. Though it takes 20-25 minutes after order but it is worth it.
